Volunteering with inTurn is an incredible opportunity to support and inspire young entrepreneurs. By assisting on the day of the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show, you’ll help bring our competition to life and ensure a smooth, successful event for all participants. Your involvement will directly contribute to creating a positive and enriching experience for the young entrepreneurs competing and showcasing their showbags. From setting up to helping with event logistics, your role as a volunteer is essential in making the event run seamlessly.

Volunteers at inTurn

As a volunteer at the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show, you will play a key part in the behind-the-scenes operations that make this event a success. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can assist with the following roles:

1. Event Setup and Breakdown - 

Volunteers are needed to help with the setup of the event, ensuring that participant stands are ready for the day ahead. At the end of the event, your assistance in breaking down and packing up will be equally valuable.

2. Stand Assistance -

During the event, volunteers will be stationed at various stands, providing support to the young entrepreneurs. Your role will be to assist participants as they engage with the public, ensuring that customers are greeted, questions are answered, and transactions run smoothly.

 

3. Customer Engagement and Support -

Volunteers can assist with engaging attendees and encouraging them to visit the showbag stands. By helping to spread the word and creating a welcoming atmosphere, you’ll help increase foot traffic and interest in the participants' products.

4. Logistics and Operations Support -

Logistics volunteers will assist with general event operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll help coordinate any last-minute details and ensure that everything stays on track throughout the day.

How to Become an inTurn Volunteer

Fill out the application form below to express your interest in volunteering for the event. This will register your place at the Information Session on Saturday, 28th June 2025 where you can learn more about the competition, the volunteer roles, and the schedule for the event.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us in supporting this exciting event. However, if you are under the age of 18, we will need parental consent in order for you to volunteer.
